Beach Wedding: 4 Things Brides Need To Know

Beach Wedding: 4 Things Brides Need To Know

If you are planning a beach wedding and the biggest concern for every bride is what to wear and how to prepare to look perfect. Unlike weddings in indoor spaces where the weather conditions and facilities are stable, beach weddings may require some special preparations for attire. Here are things you need to know to look beautiful and comfortable throughout the day.

1. Choose a wedding dress design that you can move comfortably in

Organizing a beach wedding means you will be moving a lot from the resort/hotel to the wedding venue and back to the reception area. You should wear lightweight dresses with comfortable designs and materials. The dress should not cause any discomfort for you.

For example, a formal evening gown is not a suitable choice for a beach wedding. It is too large and heavy, which can cause difficulty in movement, not to mention it can make you sweat a lot in hot weather, especially in a country like Vietnam where the climate often exceeds 30 degrees Celsius in the summer.

2. Choose the right wedding shoes

If the wedding is held on sand, we advise you not to wear high heels as it will cause a lot of inconvenience when moving. Instead, you can wear sandals without straps or shoes that match your style for the day.

If you don't want to wear high heels, then make sure to communicate with your wedding planner to create a separate runway along the aisle during the ceremony and ensure that you can walk on it without any problems.

3. Don't forget to test long-lasting makeup

As this is an outdoor wedding, the climate is usually higher than indoor temperatures, so make sure you check the weather and have suitable waterproof makeup products for a long hot day. To ensure this, you should test the makeup layout as soon as you arrive at the wedding venue. Another note is not to use glossy lipsticks as they may stick to your hair or veil when there is wind blowing.

4. Suitable hairstyle for windy weather

Rain is your biggest enemy when you have a beach wedding, but don't underestimate the wind. It can cause you some trouble and unexpected situations during the ceremony. We have witnessed a bride unable to complete her vows just because the wind constantly messed up her hair and veil stuck to her face.

Our advice to you is that when the day comes, the first thing you should do in the morning is to check the weather. If it's a windy day, congratulations, you can style your hair as you like. However, if it's a windy day, you should choose a hairstyle that is less prone to tangling, such as a low bun rather than loose curls. Also, use plenty of hairspray to keep everything in place.
